The Road to UX: Mastering the Art of Failure

Every time I get frustrated about not figuring out tangible design solutions on the first try, I think about Mrs. Frizzle and one her most memorable lines, “get messy, make mistakes”.

Sometimes we, well me specifically, need to step back and let failure happen. The road to discovery and innovation isn’t often a straight line. The lines go in multiple directions, they might sharply rise and fall but each process is different and it was important for me to remember that.

Behind every success story or a beautiful design, there are so many failures and iterations that we don’t get to see. So as I continue to practice my UX skills, I’ll embrace the ups and downs of the process along with the failures that come with it.
